John Mims
John is a Production Crew Chief of SERVPRO of Woodridge / Bolingbrook. He is responsible for managing a field crew, setting up and establishing efficient job flow, coordinating requirements for the job, both performing and supervising production work, and monitoring assigned jobs from start to finish. He is also responsible for communicating and setting appropriate expectations with residential or commercial customers as well as insurance personnel.
John has been with SERVPRO of Woodridge/Bolingbrook for 4 years. He is IICRC Certified in both Water Damage Restoration and Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration, as well as 30 Hour OSHA Certified.
John is an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp –Active Duty and Reserve- from July 1994-June 2007.
He comes to us with a wealth of construction experience as well. Having completed a 4-year apprenticeship program, he was a Union Trained Journeyman Carpenter from November 1999 until September 2008.
From 2008 to 2010 he again served. This time as Navy Military Training Instructor, Lead Petty Officer of Builder “A” School at the Naval Construction Training Center in Gulfport MS, teaching young Sailors to become Construction Battalion “Seabees”.
