Summer Water Damage

It is important to keep an eye on your sprinklers to ensure they are not being aimed at the house.

Everyone loves summer, the warm weather, the long nights, and all of the possibilities that lie ahead. Unfortunately, summer is no exception to water damage and the havoc it can cause. Here are some things to keep an eye on this summer that could give you some trouble.

1. A/C Overflows - A/C units and window units are susceptible to leaks which can damage walls and floors in the home. If you have a window unit, make sure the drainage hose is running out of the window.

2. Irrigation systems. Home irrigation systems, though nice and convenient, can cause problems for you. Make sure the sprinklers are not aimed at your house, this can cause water to pool up and leak into your foundation.
