Flooded basement in Wilmette

A sump pump failure in Downers Grove, Illinois brought SERVPRO of Woodridge/Bolingbrook out to save the day. A crawlspace, Recreation room, laundry room, and bathroom were affected in the basement.

SERVPRO extracted extracting the standing water from carpet in the recreation room. The basement had wood paneling that needed to be removed. Walls were opened to access and remove wet insulation. The carpet and pad were removed and disposed of.

A crew of 5 technicians completed the mitigation job in under 4 hours. The customer's items that were damaged were thrown out at the customer's request. The following day, 2 technicians returned to monitor the drying process and do some additional cleaning.

SERVPRO is happy to come by each day to be sure the drying is going as planned.
