Water damage inside your home is often caused  by a failure of the sump pump. However, that's not always the case. Ejector pump failures are possible too. Ejector pumps are the pumps that get rid of the water from toilets and showers. If the ejector pump goes out and floods the basement, we call that a cat 3 loss (sewage). If it is a cat 3 loss, like this job, any wall or flooring must be removed. This job in Romeoville had 3 types of flooring -- carpet, laminate and vinyl. The flooring that was affected was removed and the walls were cut two feet to insure no items were left that was touched by the contaminated  water. Anti-microbial and drying equipment was placed to insure no mold or musty odors would be left behind.
